Pest Control - Bird Control > Population Management

A long term programme designed to reduce a colony of nesting birds. Nests are identified and accessed (with rope access if necessary) throughout the nesting cycle of the bird species in question. Laid eggs are oiled or replaced with dummy eggs to set guidelines and over time the breeding population is reduced as chicks never hatch. This technique is successful if further potential breeding birds are dissuaded from breeding with either audio deterrents or a live response programme and is especially effective on large colonies.
